Faculty Academic - Political Science Scholarship

This scholarship has been developed to recognize outstanding students at Schoolcraft College.

The Political Science Faculty Academic Scholarship awards $500 to a student registered for the Winter 2021 semester for 6 or more credit hours.

Criteria

  • Pursuing a program of study or courses at Schoolcraft College.
  • Completed at least 12 credit hours at Schoolcraft College before the Fall 2018 semester.
  • Have at least a 3.0 Schoolcraft College cumulative grade point average.
  • Submit a 750-1000 word essay that is typed and double-spaced. The essay topic is: “Should campaign contributions be protected as First Amendment free speech rights or should donations to candidates and parties be restricted?”

Supplemental Questions
  1. I have completed at least 12 credit hours at Schoolcraft College before the start of the current Fall semester.
  2. Submit a 750-1000 word essay that is typed and double-spaced. The essay topic is: “Should campaign contributions be protected as First Amendment free speech rights or should governments have the right to restrict donations to candidates and parties?”
  3. By submitting my Faculty Scholarship application, I am authorizing the college to release information about me and my essay (if applicable) to internal and/or external media, with the potential to be published.
