Foundation - Alan and Nancy Tope Honors Scholars STEM Scholarship
Alan Tope is deeply rooted in the history of Schoolcraft College. As a member of the first graduating class in 1966, he was honored as Schoolcraft’s first valedictorian. This scholarship provides financial support for students who are members of the Honors Scholars Program and are pursuing studies in mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, engineering, computer sciences, or related technologies and are enrolled in a degree program. Applicants may be first-year or second- year Honor Scholars students and must be enrolled in at least 2 courses per semester during the scholarship year from the following qualifying categories: mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, engineering, computer sciences, or related technologies. Scholarship funds will be available for tuition, fees, lab fees and text books. The Honors Scholars Faculty Advisor in cooperation with the Foundation will select potential candidates to receive the scholarship. Credit requirement = 6 credits.
